You all know I’m a sucker for the crafty side of gnome culture. If you’re looking for something to do on a snowy evening, you may want to check out this gnome crochet kit from wee Amy Gaines.
Doesn’t look like anyone I know personally, but you never can tell.

I’ve never met a tax and spend gnome, and I’m not sure I ever want to … though I did like this wee, crafty blog Katywhumpus and the story about Tax & Spend. I couldn’t help but admire that stone wall …
I just love Sarah Caterisano’s wee illustrations, but I was really impressed by the likeness she achieved in this gnome carving. This easily could be my elder cousin Weinhold. It’s all a bit uncanny.
There are lots of links to other awfully talented humanfolk to follow as well.
I end up doing less craft projects in the Spring and Summer because I’m so busy about the garden. The wee folks over at CrafyPod found this lovely book on Macramé Gnomes. Fascinating. I’ll have to try and track it down.
It’s a great time of the year for craft activities. I only wish I was a wee bit closer to Toronto. Apparently the folks at The Felting Studio of the Phoenix Arts Group in Toronto offer a Felted Gnome Workshop.
