Beag Óg Bramblefoot

I recently got to visit Westerwald who has been working in London at the design consultancy, Prospect. It isn’t all grind and deadlines, since the city has such a nice network of parks. Westy has a great collection of Motown CDs, and as you can see, doesn’t shy away from demonstrating “The Shovel”.

Other aspiring gnome designers out there, don’t dismay. Prospect are currently hiring for another interaction designer and project manager. This is a discrimination free gnome zone.

I end up doing less craft projects in the Spring and Summer because I’m so busy about the garden. The wee folks over at CrafyPod found this lovely book on Macramé Gnomes. Fascinating. I’ll have to try and track it down.

The Sun

Reminiscent of some of the fine, grainy photos of Bigfoot and the Yeti in a snowstorm, comes this video of a garden gnome lurking around an Argentine town. Either this wee guy has had too much to drink (accounting for the shuffle step) or it is another cheap prank, spreading more inaccuracies about gnome-folk, who are pacifists by nature.

Update: Calling Sherlock Gnomes

I just love this wee little film and it’s even better that it features a garden gnome cameo. (No real gnomes were harmed in the making of this animation.)

There’s nothing like passing the time with a bit of a wee game, and I found 10 Gnomes rather enchanting. It reminded me of those Where’s Windemere? books I loved as a child.
